How do I choose the right size for this extra-wide baby gate?
Measure the opening at the top, middle, and bottom, then use the widest measurement. Choose the size and extension combination that covers your opening without exceeding the recommended range.
Will the gate stay sturdy in a wide opening?
Yes. W252 uses a heavy-duty steel frame and compatible extension pieces for wider openings. Proper installation and a solid, level mounting surface are important for stability.
Is it easy to install and use every day?
Yes. The gate is designed for straightforward adult assembly and one-hand operation. It also closes automatically and locks behind you for everyday convenience.
Will a pressure-mounted baby gate damage my walls?
No drilling is required for pressure mounting. The adjustable mounting points and wall caps secure the gate against the sides of the opening without requiring holes in the wall.
My doorway has baseboards. Will this affect the width measurement?
Yes, always measure the narrowest point. When calculating your required width, please measure from baseboard to baseboard (the bottom opening) rather than wall to wall. The upper and lower tension bolts can be adjusted independently to accommodate slightly uneven walls or baseboard offsets.
Just bought our THIRD gate from Fairy Baby and I cannot recommend them enough! We’ve moved three times in the last three years and our needs keep changing… first we needed an extra narrow gate, then a standard, and now the extra wide gate. They were incredibly responsive when we had an issue with a part, and then again when I ordered the wrong size and needed to swap it out. I just cannot recommend this company enough!!!!
Send the product the customer ordered and don’t try to convince him that the wrong size you sent will actually fit. You make multiple gate sizes for a reason right?

The gate arrived quickly, was easy to assemble and install by myself in just a few minutes. It fits perfectly in the space and keeps our puppy in his designated area. The gate itself is easy to open one handed when I have my arms full and is well balanced so that it almost always swings shut and closes completely behind me, keeping said puppy enclosed. However, it will stay open if I want it to. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend.
